Amr ElAshry is Tax Leader and CEO . He is one of Middle East for Consultation founders back in 1997. He is responsible to set the overall strategy for MEC network, focusing on increasing quality service and enhancing the brand and reputation by developing and retaining key talent and expanding its capabilities across all areas of the business.
Amr has over 30 years of diversified experience serving clients in the tax advisory and financial services industries in Egypt and the GCC. Prior to incorporating MEC, Amr was a member of KPMG-Egypt.
Amr’ clients include many of the largest multinational and local organizations in Egypt; where he specialized in financial services and international tax and advised a range of companies on the establishment, organization and operation of their business, as well as advising some of the Egyptian companies on the tax aspects of their Egyptian and cross-border investments.
He frequently worked with executive management to improve their capabilities to balance growth, risk and return strategies and execution of business activities.
Amr is a fellow of Egyptian Society of Taxation, Egyptian Society of Accountants & Auditors, and Egyptian Society for Public Finance & Taxes, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ain-Shams University.
